Leakage test for taps
The system has been designed to automate tightness control and verification of communication between internal chambers of faucet parts.
During the testing process, static and dynamic pressure are monitored, and their differences are compared to detect possible leaks. At the end of the test, the system determines whether the part is acceptable or rejected. If a leak is detected, the specific area where the failure occurred is indicated.
System components:
- Programmable logic controller (PLC): Monitors and manages the entire verification process. It controls mechanical movements (such as clamping and capping), determines whether the part meets requirements, and coordinates the sequence via a touchscreen terminal.
- Human Machine Interface (HMI): Allows the operator to view process data in real time, control the system, and view test results.
- Pneumatic circuit: Responsible for the mechanical functions necessary to perform the test (pressurization, fixing, etc.).
- Electrical circuit: It supplies power to the system and manages the signals necessary for its correct operation.
This automated system significantly improves the efficiency of quality control, ensuring rapid, accurate and localized detection of leaks in fittings, thus guaranteeing the reliability of the final product.
