Leakage test for thermostatic faucets
This system has been developed to automate tightness control and verify communication between internal chambers of thermostatic faucets.
During the testing process, static and dynamic pressures are monitored, comparing their values to detect possible leaks. Once the test is complete, the system automatically determines whether the part is acceptable or defective. In the event of a failure, the exact leak area is pinpointed, facilitating rapid and precise intervention.
System components:
- Programmable logic controller (PLC): Controls the entire verification process, including:
- Determining the admissibility of the piece.
- Control of mechanical movements (fixing, placement of plugs).
- Sequence management using a touch-screen operator terminal.
- Human Machine Interface (HMI): Allows the operator to view and control the process in real time through a touch screen.
- Pneumatic circuit: Performs the mechanical actions necessary to perform the test, such as applying pressure and securing the part.
- Electrical circuit: Provides power and manages the signals necessary for the system to operate.
This system provides precision, reliability, and traceability in the verification processes of thermostatic faucets, significantly improving quality control in automated production lines.
