APE-COMPAC
Universal tightness test for taps
The system is designed to automate the verification of tightness and proper communication between internal chambers of faucet parts.
During the verification process, static and dynamic pressure are monitored, and their differences are compared to detect possible leaks. At the end of the test, the system determines whether the part is acceptable or rejected. In the event of a defect, the specific leak area on the part is indicated, making it easier to correct the problem.
System components:
- Programmable logic controller (PLC): Executes the verification sequence, controls movements (clamping, cap placement, etc.) and determines the validity of the part.
- Human Machine Interface (HMI): Touch terminal that allows the operator to view and control the process.
- Pneumatic circuit: It acts on the mechanical elements necessary for the test (sealing, pressure, etc.).
- Electrical circuit: Supplies and manages the power and signals of the system.
This automated system improves the efficiency and reliability of quality control, enabling accurate identification of defective parts and ensuring the hydraulic integrity of products before final assembly or shipment.
