APE-XNP
Universal tightness test for taps
This system has been developed to automatically control leaks and verify communication between the internal chambers of the faucet.
During the verification process, static and dynamic pressure are monitored and compared. This comparison allows for differences indicative of potential leaks to be detected. At the end of the test, the system determines whether the part is acceptable or defective. In the event of a failure, the specific leak zone on the part is identified.
Main components:
- Programmable logic controller (PLC): Monitors and executes the entire verification sequence. It is responsible for:
- Determine the admissibility of the piece.
- Control mechanical movements (fixing, inserting plugs, etc.).
- Coordinate the process through a touch-screen operator terminal.
- Human Machine Interface (HMI): Touch screen that allows the operator to interact with the system, view process status and test results.
- Pneumatic circuit: Performs the mechanical actions necessary during verification (sealing, applying pressure, etc.).
- Electrical circuit: Manages the power supply and control signals necessary for the system to operate.
This automated system enables precise, repeatable, and rapid quality control of faucet parts, ensuring that only units without leaks or internal defects move on to the next stages of the manufacturing or assembly process.
